Pope Resigns Amidst Brain Cancer Fight

Pope Benedict XVI shocked billions of people when he announced his early resignation on Monday, and new reports claim it is due to a brain cancer battle.
In a public statement, the Pope stated that his “advanced age” and failing health of “mind and body” were reasons he was resigning as leader of the Catholic Church.
He is the first Pontiff to abdicate in 600 years.
Vatican sources exclusively told the National Enquirer that his age is just the beginning, and he is dealing with a horrific health crisis.
“He’s been undergoing secret medical tests and it’s plunged the inner sanctum of the Vatican into turmoil,” said their source.
“Benedict decided he should go out now because he’s living in a fishbowl and doesn’t want his personal health issues affecting his job.”
The Pope’s resignation is effective on Feb 28, and a medical expert told the publication that it is “highly suspicious” that he gave just a few weeks notice.
“He may fear he has only months to live or that his treatment may leave him unable to serve his office,” stated the expert.
Many Bible prophecy students believe the Pope’s resignation may lead to fulfillment of the End Times prophecies by electing a new Pope who would fit the biblical description of Peter the Roman.
According to the prophecies, this act would then lead to the ushering in of the Antichrist.
