Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred is heading to court on Wednesday in an attempt to unseal Mitt Romney’s sworn testimony in a prior court case and to lift a gag order so her client can talk about the case, according to the gossip website Radar Online.
Citing “a source close to the situation,” the website’s assistant managing editor, Jen Heger, claims that the Boston Globe is planning to cover the 9 am EST hearing at Norfolk Probate and Family Court in Canton, Massachusetts.
Allred has refused to confirm or deny the news of the hearing to the press yet.
Several news organizations have speculated that the case could involve Mormon women whom Romney advised on family matters, such as assault, spousal abuse and abortion while he was bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
According to investigative journalist Geoffrey Dunn, one horrible espisode with Romney involved a woman who was facing a life-threatening medical condition, she was advised by her doctor to terminate her eight-week pregnancy with abortion so she would not die. She received the blessing of her local stake president, but then-bishop Romney reportedly came to her hospital room uninvited to pressure her not to go through with the abortion.
“At a time when I would have appreciated nurturing and support from spiritual leaders and friends,” Sheldon wrote, “I got judgment, criticism, prejudicial advice, and rejection.”
In another case, he pressured a woman to put her son up for adoption because he did not have a Mormon father.
Reports of the hearing broke as speculation swirls over what Allred’s rumored ‘October surprise’ — a last-ditch effort to damage Republican nominee Mitt Romney ahead of the election — could entail.
Conservative blogger Matt Drudge fueled talk last week that Allred was up to something when he tweeted: ‘Here she comes. Hearing Gloria Allred out there again, about to make a move. After all, it’s her time of the campaign. Team O at the ready!!’
Allred has a long history of trotting out female clients who claim to have revealing and damaging stories about high-profile men.
One of Allred’s most famous clients includes a woman who accused former Tea Party presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual assault.
Another famous client includes a woman who claimed California GOP candidate Meg Whitman knowingly employed her as an illegal immigrant housekeeper.
Some conservative bloggers are concerned about what Allred might expose.
The New York conservative blog, The Red Side of Life, demanded Romney supporters “stop her now,” adding “we’re doing too well to risk ‘an Allred.’”
“Gloria Allred Prepares Anti-Mitt Strike You Can STOP Her Now! (action!) Don’t underestimate Gloria Allred’s ability to inflict damage,” the website reads.

Does the sun have the power to transform humankind?
In Solar (R)evolution, world-renowned German biophysicist Dieter Broers makes a compelling case, pointing to a wealth of scientific evidence that shows a remarkable correlation between increases in solar activity and advances in our creative, mental, and spiritual abilities.
We are in the midst of a dramatic rise in solar disturbances, which have the capability of disrupting the Earth’s geomagnetic field and, as a result, our global ecology. Broers, however, sees this not as an impending apocalypse but as the dawn of a new era.
Drawing on research from a variety of disciplines, he shows how erupting solar activity carries the potential to boost our brain capacity and expand our minds in ways we never imagined possible. Abilities now seen as extraordinary or supernatural—telepathy, extrasensory perception, and off-the-charts intelligence quotients—may soon become ordinary and natural and could very well help us solve the mounting global crises we are facing.
Humankind is going through an evolutionary leap, says Broers, and the process has already begun.
