Obama: “Pollution Eating Our Planet;” Pledges Big Money to US Jobs in Green Energy, Not China Outsourcing

President Barack Obama vowed to supporters in Florida to invest more money in renewable resource energy generators and not allow China to surpass the United States in developing the technology.

“By the way, yes, my plan will reduce the carbon pollution that is eating our planet because climate change is not a hoax,” Obama said at a campaign rally this week at the Bank United Arena at the University of Miami according to CNSNews.com.

“More droughts and hurricanes and wildfires, that’s not a joke. That’s a threat to our children’s future, and we can do something about it.”

Obama said that he planned to spend more money to subsidize green energy projects – renewable resources energy sources, such as wind and solar, if elected for a second term.

Republican opponent Mitt Romney has criticized the President for spending $90 billion on green energy companies, which saw several of them file for bankruptcy. However, Romney is taking campaign donations from Big Oil and coal companies.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee announced this week that it is seeking information from the Department of Energy about a $400 million loan to Abound Solar that recently filed for bankruptcy. Abound was the fifth stimulus-funded alternative renewable energy firm and the third to file for bankruptcy after Solyndra and Beacon Power.

Obama stated he will pay for the subsidies by ending tax breaks to oil companies, such as current ones for Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster company BP Oil.

“So, now you’ve got a choice. My plan would cut our oil imports in half and invest in the clean energy that has created thousands of jobs all across America,” Obama said at the rally.

“Not just oil and natural gas, but wind and solar and clean coal technologies and fuel efficient cars and long lasting batteries.

“If you want to know how we’re paying for it, one of the things we do not allow oil companies to collect another $4 billion in taxpayer-funded corporate welfare every single year.”

Obama said the United States should not fall behind the rest of the world in the green energy markets.

“I will not let China or anybody else win the race for clean energy technology,” Obama said. “I want to see that technology develop right here in Florida, right here in the United States of America, creating jobs right here.

“By the way, yes, my plan will reduce the carbon pollution that is eating our planet because climate change is not a hoax.

“More droughts and hurricanes and wildfires, that’s not a joke. That’s a threat to our children’s future, and we can do something about it.”

Solar (R)evolution

Does the sun have the power to transform humankind?

In Solar (R)evolution, world-renowned German biophysicist Dieter Broers makes a compelling case, pointing to a wealth of scientific evidence that shows a remarkable correlation between increases in solar activity and advances in our creative, mental, and spiritual abilities.

We are in the midst of a dramatic rise in solar disturbances, which have the capability of disrupting the Earth’s geomagnetic field and, as a result, our global ecology. Broers, however, sees this not as an impending apocalypse but as the dawn of a new era.

Drawing on research from a variety of disciplines, he shows how erupting solar activity carries the potential to boost our brain capacity and expand our minds in ways we never imagined possible. Abilities now seen as extraordinary or supernatural—telepathy, extrasensory perception, and off-the-charts intelligence quotients—may soon become ordinary and natural and could very well help us solve the mounting global crises we are facing.

Humankind is going through an evolutionary leap, says Broers, and the process has already begun.
