Whole Foods Censors Expose on Genetically Modified Food Poisoning You – Video

Undercover Video by Organic Spies Exposing Whole Foods Grocery Store’s Many GMO Products and CA Prop. 37 Funding

A controversial video of an undercover investigation into the presence of genetically modified foods (GMOs) at Whole Foods Market – the leading “organic” grocery store – has been removed from YouTube just days after its release spread through the health and alternative news venues.

The video by Organic Spies, Operation Whole Foods Market Genetic Engineering Sting, is spy footage that alleges that Whole Foods tricks its customers into believing they are buying organic foods even though they sell numerous products that contain GMO ingredients.

They are attempting to educate people about the forthcoming California Proposition 37 vote that will decide if GMOs are required to be labeled on food.

When the investigation team asked a number of Whole Foods employees in the Los Angeles area about GMOs, their statements showed that they are not aware of the presence of GMO foods in their grocery stores and are unable to properly inform customers.

The original video was posted over six days ago and had over 100,000 views – until it was deleted by YouTube due to alleged violations of its terms of service. When the website claims this reason, it is usually from a third party complaint. YouTube does not automatically tell the users who made the complaint. Whether Whole Foods is the company complaining is unknown.

Whole Foods officially responded to Organic Spies’ video on their website and stated that some products in their store contain GMO ingredients.

“The YouTube video showing our store Team Members giving conflicting responses to a question about GMOs reminds us that while we try to keep all our 70,000 Team Members up-to-speed on the latest information, clearly we need to do more,” wrote Whole Food.

“Some products in our stores DO contain GMOs – just like any other food store in the country, due to the pervasiveness of GMOs…”

Whole Foods stated that they support CA’s Prop 37 that would require labeling of GMOs.

The company hypocritically claims that their officially policy does not allow financial backing to help the prop., but its executives have donated to many campaigns.

Whole Foods co-founder and CEO John Mackey donated to Mitt Romney, who helped promote Monsanto’s entry into biotechnology – creators of GMO seends, crops and food.

The company’s co-CEO Walter Robb donated to Barack Obama, who has appointed numerous Monsanto lobbyists to his administration. He has also donated to Christie Vilsack, the wife of USDA chief Tom Vilsack, who has aided biotech companies, cloning, GMOs and open-air growing of pharmaceutical crops. As head of agriculture, Vilsack helped negotiate the legal use of GMO alfalfa – a major crop for livestock. He met with Monsanto and executives of “organic” sellers Whole Foods Market, Stonyfield Farm and Organic Valley.

GMO foods have been found to contribute to cancerous tumors and other health problems in lab rats fed Monsanto’s GM corn.

Without labels for genetically modified foods, people will continue to make many uneducated purchases that could be dangerous to their health.
