Kristen Stewart has reportedly been banned from attending Robert Pattinson’s movie premiere for Cosmopolis following her confession to cheating on him in an affair with married director Rupert Sanders.
The red carpet event is set to take place in New York on August 13 ahead of the movie’s limited U.S. release on August 17.
Security staff have been told to keep Stewart away from the premiere and after party, according to RadarOnline.
Movie executives are said to be concerned 22-year-old Stewart could seize upon the opportunity to speak to Pattinson and are worried about the media storm it would cause.
A film industry insider told the website: “Despite the fact Robert and Kristen have been communicating by cell phone, she will not be at the Cosmopolis New York premiere.

“Security was briefed and [gic] they were told that Kristen is not allowed anywhere near the red carpet or the after party.”
The premiere will come as 26-year-old Pattinson’s first public appearance since news broke last month that his girlfriend and Twilight co-star Stewart had cheated on him with her Snow White and The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
Kristen released a grovelling public apology during the scandal, describing it as a “momentary indiscretion” with Sanders who is married with two children to Liberty Ross.
According to E!’s Ted Casablanca and National Enquirer’s Mike Walker, both Stewart and Pattinson are bisexual, have had an open relationship and have had gay lovers during the time they have dated.
Stewart reportedly was having a lesbian affair with Twilight actress Nikki Reed, and they have been photographed holding hand and kissing when they did not notice the photographers.
Pattinson reportedly has had a long-term boyfriend – actor Tom Sturridge. Also, he confessed he enjoyed the gay love scenes when filming Little Ashes.
Thursday, Pattinson’s representatives denied reports he was pulling out of a press junket associated with the film.
A spokesman told People.com: “Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting.
“No confirmed engagements have been cancelled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate.”
The film, based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Don DeLillo, is directed by David Cronenberg and also stars Juliette Binoche and Sarah Gadon.
A photoshoot to promote the movie featured Pattinson using Illuminati New World Order symbolism.
The movie initially premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May, drawing mixed early reactions from critics.
It already had a limited release in the U.K. on June 15. Pattinson plays the lead role of disturbed billionaire Eric Packer.
Cronenberg and Pattinson are also expected at a TimesTalk event on August 15 in NY to discuss the product.
Earlier this week the production company behind Twilight told Entertainment Weekly that promotions for the final film, Breaking Dawn Part 2, will go ahead as planned.
It will mean Pattinson and Stewart are likely to have to attend promotional events together.
Summit Entertainment’s president of worldwide marketing Nancy Krikpatrick told the website: “While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2.
“We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audiences alike.”

Does the sun have the power to transform humankind?
In Solar (R)evolution, world-renowned German biophysicist Dieter Broers makes a compelling case, pointing to a wealth of scientific evidence that shows a remarkable correlation between increases in solar activity and advances in our creative, mental, and spiritual abilities.
We are in the midst of a dramatic rise in solar disturbances, which have the capability of disrupting the Earth’s geomagnetic field and, as a result, our global ecology. Broers, however, sees this not as an impending apocalypse but as the dawn of a new era.
Drawing on research from a variety of disciplines, he shows how erupting solar activity carries the potential to boost our brain capacity and expand our minds in ways we never imagined possible. Abilities now seen as extraordinary or supernatural—telepathy, extrasensory perception, and off-the-charts intelligence quotients—may soon become ordinary and natural and could very well help us solve the mounting global crises we are facing.
Humankind is going through an evolutionary leap, says Broers, and the process has already begun.
