Conrad Murray Arrested without Bail Until Sentencing in Michael Jackson Homicide Trial – Video

After Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson today, his lawyers asked for him to be let free on bail until the sentencing hearing.
However, the judge ordered Murray to he arrested immediately by the Los Angeles County sheriff’s office without bail until his sentencing on November 29.
The judge said the doctor needed to be jailed because he poses a risk to the public since he was now a felon convicted of a crime of homicide, and he likely would be a flight risk since he has most of his family and business ties outside of California and outside the country.

Murray will remain in the county prison until the sentencing hearing on November 29.

The judge also said the jury is free to be interviewed by the press now.
The jury’s verdict took over seven hours to decide Friday and hours on today, and it, as well as the entire trial was televised.
Murray had Michael Jackson hooked up to an IV tube with a Propofol drip, a powerful drug usually only used in hospitals, that caused the death of the musician.
The doctor was unable to perform CPR properly and did not call 911 swiftly.
Murray will likely have his medical license revoked.
He will be sentenced up to four years in jail.
