Halperin's Arnold Biography
Maria Shriver decided to separate from Arnold Schwarzenegger after reading Ian Halperin’s biography The Governator.
One of Maria’s closest friends told Halperin for his site Ianundercover.com several days ago: “your book was the last straw. After she read about all of Arnold’s new mistresses in your book she told me she’s going to find a divorce lawyer. If not for your book she’d still be with him. Thanks Ian for all your hard work, I’m thrilled that Maria finally left him. He’s a total pig.”
A friend of Maria told TMZ today that when Maria discovered Arnold was the father of Mildred Patty Baena’s son, she was “hysterical” and wanted to hold a news conference to expose the secretive scandal.
The friend said Maria was talked off a ledge, in what sounds like a suicide attempt, and they planned leaking the information to The Los Angeles Times and TMZ.

The source also said Maria learned about Arnold’s love child in late April or very early May.
Arnold was allegedly upset Maria was talking to her friends about the scandal, and he knew Maria’s publicity team leaked the story, claimed the sources.
